Horizen Tag for Android: Quick Start Guide
Follow these steps to prepare your device and connect your tag.
⚠️ Important: Do not pair this tag in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. If you have already done so, please “Forget Device” in Bluetooth settings before proceeding.
Part 1: Prepare your Android Device
Note: These settings are required for older models (Pre-September 2025) but recommended for all users to ensure the best performance.
1. Update System
Go to Settings and search for “Google Play System update.” Download and install any available updates.
2. Get the App
Download and install “Google Find Hub” from the Play Store. (If you have a newer device, simply open the Find Hub app. If prompted, update “Google Play Services”.)
3. Check Permissions
Go to Settings > Apps > Find Hub > Permissions > Location. Select “Allow while using the app.”
Part 2: Connect Tag
1. Power ON
Press the function button on your Android Tag. You will hear a musical chime indicating it is on.
2. Connect Tag
Hold the tag close to your Android device. A pop-up notification will appear automatically on your screen. Tap Connect and follow the prompts.
