RoamFree Pet Tracker: Quick Start Guide
Follow these 5 steps to activate your tracker and begin monitoring your pet.
1. Register your tracker
Click here to register your device and enter your details along with the Device ID.
2. Log in
Open the tracking platform and log in with the details we email you. You should land on a map.
Tip: add the page to your phone’s home screen. It then opens like any other app.
Your device sets itself up in the app. It shows you what to do next and ticks off each step as it happens, so you can simply follow along on screen.
Read ahead if you like, or come here if something doesn’t go the way the app says it should.
3. Switch it on
Press and hold the SOS button until the blue light comes on.
4. Take it outside for its first fix
Take the device outside with a clear view of the sky. Press and hold the SOS button for 5 seconds. It usually finds itself within 2 minutes and appears on your map on its own.
Tip: leave it outside while it searches. Tap your device on the map to open its card.
5. Set the safe zone at home
Once your device is on the map, the app shows a short Safe Zone card.
Take your device outside, as close to your WiFi router as you can. Press and hold the SOS button for 5 seconds, then leave it there. The app ticks off GPS fix, WiFi scan and Safe Zone set as each one happens.
If the app says there’s no GPS fix, or that it didn’t save: move to a spot with a clearer view of the sky, still near your router, and press and hold the SOS button for 5 seconds again.
Your device learns your home WiFi, so it knows when it is home, and the app draws a 75 m safe zone around your home. That is the area your pet can move around in without you hearing from us.
Tip: each press also sends you an SOS alert, so setup doubles as a first test of your SOS button.
That’s it. Your map will show Home, and you’ll hear from us when your pet leaves.
Tip: charge it fully before fitment. From empty, that takes up to 2 hours.
